Equestrian Crime Prevention Advice

10 tips on protecting your equestrian estate

  1. Ensure you have registered all your valuable equestrian items on NECD. This are all now held safely on one place on line but keep all paper records in a safe place together
  2. Ensure you have loaded up good quality images of these items so that they can be easily recognized if they have to sent to crime prevention authorities
  3. Ensure all your items are visibly marked with the unique NECD ID number where possible eg rugs, etc
  4. Post posters on your yard or stables which show your are protected by NECD
  5. Get your horse freezemarked and microchipped which all help track and identify your equine
  6. Keep your NECD information up to date
  7. Visit the NEC Advice information to find out more about the measures you can take around you to help prevent crime
