10 tips on protecting your equestrian estate
- Ensure you have registered all your valuable equestrian items on NECD. This are all now held safely on one place on line but keep all paper records in a safe place together
- Ensure you have loaded up good quality images of these items so that they can be easily recognized if they have to sent to crime prevention authorities
- Ensure all your items are visibly marked with the unique NECD ID number where possible eg rugs, etc
- Post posters on your yard or stables which show your are protected by NECD
- Get your horse freezemarked and microchipped which all help track and identify your equine
- Keep your NECD information up to date
